Meet Nic

I'm Nic, a mother of three, living on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. I have over thirty years experience with supporting individuals and families to navigate service systems and engage with supports, particularly for people living with disability. I am enthusiastic about life and all that it has to offer however, my personal experiences with grief and loss have often left me feeling stuck, alone, and overwhelmed. When I found the tools of mindfulness, meditation, and gratitude, and truly incorporated these into my daily life, I have been guided from darkness into a place of joy and passion. These tools have profoundly transformed my experiences, and I am passionate about sharing these tools with others.

I believe that living well through every stage of life is possible when we are able to focus our attention on what we want to focus on, without the external distractions of what is happening around us. Practicing mindfulness each day, builds 'mind muscles' in much the same way that going to the gym builds your body's muscle. The more that you practice, the more control that you have over where your attention goes, and how you feel. And of course, if we are controlling the way that we feel, regardless of what is happening externally, we impact our happiness.

My mission is to also foster open conversations around end-of-life topics, providing individuals and communities with the knowledge and resources they need for informed decision-making. I am dedicated to empowering people to discover joy and meaning amidst grief and transformation. I offer a supportive space to listen and walk beside individuals and communities as they journey through end-of-life challenges and explore options that are right for them. Inspired by the idea that everyone deserves to face life's end with peace and a smile, I strive to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others.
